This certificate can be taken independently or as part of Oakland’s MPH program. Learn more at the global and population health services page.

Health Equity

With the graduate certificate in health equity, expand your knowledge of the root causes of health inequities. You will be prepared to develop and implement strategic initiatives that diminish health disparities and foster equitable health. This certificate can be taken as part of OU’s MPH degree or separately. Visit the health equity page to learn more.

Epidemiological Research

Advance your knowledge of epidemiological methods and gain experience in developing a robust research student design and conducting higher-level statistical analyses. With the graduate certificate in epidemiological research, you’ll take courses related to research, biostatistics and disease. Environmental Health and Safety Management

Take classes in advanced safety and health administration, risk assessment and loss control, accident and incident investigation/analysis, and more to become a leading expert in safety. The graduate certificate in environmental health and safety management (EHSM) prepares you to enter the field or expand your career opportunities without committing to a full graduate degree, although this certificate may also be applied to Oakland University’s Master of Science in Safety Management should you desire to continue your education.
